After 10 years of studying the field of self-improvement all the advice boils down to one thing:
You get it yet!?
Why isn’t your life full of love yet?
In how many different ways do we have to tell ourselves the same thing?
As many times as it takes for us to realize the bitter truth. We keep getting caught up in being human.
We get so lost in the experience of being a human that we lose track of what truly fulfills us. Life becomes a repetitive cycle of trying to survive, similar to how an animal lives.
Animals are purely instinctual beings. They are designed to survive now by any means necessary. Once they have food and safety, then they procreate. And the cycle continues when they run out of food or feel threatened. We share the same instincts, but with an added bonus. We can invent and innovate faster than
We share the same instincts, but with a couple added bonuses. We have the power to create something that can change the course of all life on earth. We have the wisdom to understand if our creations will be valuable. We have the ability to love with compassion in a way that unites us all together.
This power, wisdom, and love is what we can use to change the world for the better in every moment. When we use it in a way that contributes to a purpose greater than ourselves, we feel fulfilled and abundant. When we live with our only guidance being survival instincts, we get lost in the same patterns. We tend to spend time with the same people doing the same things because it is safe and comfortable. We justify addictions to things like drugs, processed food, and tv. We spend our time in comfort rather than creation.
If you were out in the wild and your life depended on getting food and shelter, than your animal instincts are all you really need. You would not have the luxury of a comfort zone. The only comfort zone you would have is in your ability to survive.
We are lucky enough now to live in a time of abundance where we always have access to food and shelter. We even have entertainment on demand. It becomes easy to get lost in your comfort zone because you satiated your primal instinctual needs of food, shelter, and procreation. is life is boring,
This life is boring, repetitive and leads to depression because we literally can do the same thing every day and satiate these primal needs. We rarely have to change in order to survive.
Satiation is not what you crave. What you really crave is fulfillment.
Satiation is simply seeking pleasure to avoid being uncomfortable. Fulfillment is created by taking action each day to help yourself and humanity grow. In order to do
In order to create a life of fulfillment you must take action each day to create your legacy. Force yourself out of your comfort zone.
Do not wait for something to happen that will force you out of your comfort zone. Cultivate growth, contribution, and love with every action.
