Every day, I have an epiphany. A new idea. A new article. A new poem. A new experiment. A new pick up line. A new joke. A new project.
I write it down and continue on with my day.
I know I can make time for creative expression. I know I have enough time to get lost in a flow of creativity that leads to pieces of work that can change someone’s life or at-least make them smile.
Instead of creating, I “learnâ€.
By “learn”, I mean reading, watching, observing, and interacting. I can learn endlessly because it is the most productive thing that I can do passively. I can absorb books, dvd workshops, conversation, online courses, audio-books, and podcasts like a sponge.
Sometimes, I forget to wring my sponge out and provide my fluid creativity (or creative fluids?) to humanity.
I am simply aiming to wet your appetite for life, but hopefully, this article doesn’t get you to wet (unless you want to be drenched in creativity).
As I started writing this article, my inner critic was blabbing on about the recent news in United States of Me. The main headline was something silly about how “Tyler is writing some more crazy crap that no one is going to read”. I continued writing. Â As I saw my piece of work taking shape, I felt phenomenal. I felt fulfilled, and I did not even share it yet.
Likes, comments, views, and shares do not matter at all. Those silly statistics only give me short term gratification. The most fulfilled I feel is when I am creating something from a place of pure passion. Something will impact future generations. Through my creative expression, I am building my legacy. Nothing feels better for longer than adding another piece to my legacy. A legacy that will be handed down to my family. My family is you. My family is humanity.
Through my creative expression, I am building my legacy. Nothing feels better (for longer) than adding another piece to my legacy. A legacy that will be handed down to my family. My family is you. My family is humanity.
Now, it’s your turn.
To experience this feeling of fulfillment every day, all you have to do is take action on an idea that comes to your heart (not your head). An idea that comes to your heart will make you feel excited and fill you with passion. This idea will come to you in 3D with intense feelings, visuals, and sounds. It’s like you are downloading a high quality, high resolution, life transforming video straight to you (tube).
You may feel or react like this:
An idea that is from your head comes in 1D or 2D, visual and/or sounds, but the intense feelings are absent. This idea is like trying to capture a random event on flip phone video, pixelated without passion.
Follow the intense feelings of excitement, passion, and love.
Once you have that euphoric idea, start developing it, right now!
Busy? write down the inspiration and purpose of this idea, draw a little picture reminder, or record yourself talking about the idea, and schedule a time to create it.
In that same moment, you must schedule a time for you to bring this idea to life because we all want to experience your euphoric expression.
It’s time to create your legacy.
Now, you are free to transform (yourself and humanity).
