How To Lift A Ton


When you first start working out, do you go to the gym and try to pick up the heaviest weight? Obviously not, right?

Then why are you doing it with your goals?

We tend to set these huge goals for ourselves, and try to make it all happen at once. The goal seems impossible, we get discouraged, and we give up, or try something else.

You are going into the gym of life and heading for the heaviest weight first. Of course you are discouraged. Of course you are going to give up. You created an unrealistic reality for yourself that you are struggling against. A struggle that you will lose.

The process of being healthy and in shape is the same as the process of achieving your dreams. It takes persistent action every day on what you can do now. Dedicate your life to the process of achieving smaller goals every day that apply to the larger goal. The powerlifter does not start by lifting 600 pounds, he/she takes action on smaller goals everyday by lifting lighter weights, testing his/her limits, and taking care of his/her health.

Dedicate your life to something greater than yourself and take action each day on building your legacy. It will not unfold in the way you think it will, and it definitely will not happen as quickly as you think.

However, I can guarantee that if you dedicate your life to your purpose, you will be able to lift a ton and wonder why you set such a small goal for yourself.
